It was a very cold and windy day. It had snowed 2 days before with a total accumulation of 20 or so centimeters. The drifting snow made some side roads impassable. My friend John and I ventured out in search of snowy owls. Unfortunately we did not see any owls. We came across bald eagles, rough-legged, and red tail hawks. All of them kepted their distance from us which made it hard to get some nice close-up images. At one point we had a single deer cross the road in-front of us but did not stick around long enough to get my camera to focus on.
